FIGHTING THE BATTLE AGAINST HAMSTRING INJURIES
IN WORLD SOCCER.
Hamstring injuries are the scourge of today’s professional soccer. Hamstring injuries account for 15% of all types of injuries in the average professional team. Considering hamstring injuries most commonly result in anything between 2-20 weeks of rehabilitation and absence from match play, the sheer economical impact of having a top-ranking player away from play is tremendous – for both club management and sometimes also for the individual player.
The nHANCE™ equipment – especially the Leg Curl – has shown to be extraordinary efficient in training for both hamstring injury prevention as well as in rehab of football players.
By the initiative of Per Tesch, Founder and Inventor of the YoYo Technology™ and Senior Advisor at nHANCE™, The Global Hamstring Project was initiated in 2014 as a forum for exchange and sharing of knowledge about hamstring injury prevention and rehabilitation. This forum held its first assembly and work shop in Stockholm in May 2014. The work now continues with annual meetings in both physical and digital space, by inviting elite team coaches, physiotherapists, managers and players to participate, learn and to share knowledge and recent scientific findings on how to minimize the risks of hamstring injuries.
